None of this has to happen in one sitting, and nothing trades until you say so.
1. Connect something
Open Connections and connect your broker. Indicator, Backtest and the Bot then use its prices. The demo account is coming, in Bot > My accounts.
Every account you connect arrives switched off, with nothing to run. There is no example to load: you give it something to run by building your own strategy in step 2.
2. Make a strategy
Open Strategies, stay on the Library tab, and give a strategy a name. Then describe it in your own words and let Wildflower write it down as blocks, or build it from blocks yourself.
It shows as draft at first. That is not an error. Required fields start empty until you fill them, so a half-finished strategy is a draft.
3. Test it
From the strategy, run a backtest over dates you choose. This needs the Backtest or Bot plan. With no plan, you can try Backtest on the practice chart, which uses made-up prices.
Every result shows the fill assumptions it used: how it assumed your orders would fill. They are on the result, not hidden.
4. Put it on an account
Open the account and put the strategy on it. Wildflower shows you exactly what will change before it saves anything. Your account's own settings stay as they are.
5. Switch the account on and watch
In the Bot, open My accounts, open the account, and tap the Bot switch at the top so it says On. Then open Activity and choose the Everything else tab. Wildflower's decisions arrive there in plain English, including setups it looked at and passed on. Days with no trade are normal.
What can go wrong
A first day where nothing happens is normal. The Activity page's Everything else tab says why, and the article below walks through the reasons.
