A strategy someone shared with you

What a shared strategy is in Wildflower, who can share one with you, what taking a copy does, and what the person who shared it can and can't see.

If someone has shared a strategy with you, it appears on a Shared with you shelf at the top of your strategy library. If nobody has, the shelf is not there.

What it is

One person's work, offered to you. Every card names the person who shared it first.

Wildflower does not review, endorse or rank shared strategies. There is no browsing, search, categories, ratings, or count of how many took a copy.

Who shares strategies

Only people in our partner programme can share strategies. Partners are paid a commission on the subscriptions of people they refer. So whoever shared a strategy with you gains if you subscribe to Wildflower.

Taking a copy

Adding a shared strategy to your library makes a real strategy of your own. From then on:

  • It is yours. If the person who shared it takes the share back later, your copy is not touched.
  • Later versions do not follow. If they change theirs, your copy stays as it is, and you are told there is something newer.
  • Your copy's record says that none of its values were set by you, and where they came from. Change a setting and that change is recorded as yours.

What can go wrong

A shared strategy was made for someone else's situation: their account size and their firm's rules. Read its blocks and numbers before you switch it on, the same way you would read your own.
