Add your indicator to cTrader

Copying your indicator for cTrader, pasting it into a new indicator in cTrader's Algo and building it, adding it to a chart, alerts, and updating it later.

Updated 12 October 2026 · 3 minute read

Your indicator works with cTrader as well as TradingView. The rules are the same, so it marks the same setups, stops and targets as your preview. The Indicator plan covers both. You add it with cTrader on a computer.

Choose cTrader

On Ready for TradingView, choose cTrader at the top. You see Ready for cTrader, No errors, and Your settings in cTrader: what you can change in the indicator's settings. If part of your indicator can't go on cTrader, that part is named.

Ready for cTrader: no errors, and the settings you can change in cTrader

One thing can't: rules on 15-second candles. cTrader's shortest chart is one minute.

Copy it

Choose Add it to cTrader, then Copy. If you haven't subscribed, Subscribe opens first, then brings you back. The code is yours to keep.

Put it in cTrader

  1. In cTrader, open Algo, then Indicators, and click New. Name it Wildflower and your indicator's name.
  2. Select everything in the code window, paste over it, and click Build. It says the build succeeded.
  3. Open a chart using your indicator's candle size, click Indicators at the top of the chart, choose Custom, then your indicator, and confirm its settings.

Your indicator asks cTrader for no extra permissions, so cTrader doesn't ask you to allow anything.

Times

Your indicator reads cTrader's candles in UTC and turns them into each market's own time, so sessions, opening ranges and the daily close are right whatever time zone cTrader shows. The box on your chart shows its times in UTC.

Alerts

When a new setup's candle closes, cTrader shows a pop-up with a sound. Pop-up alert on each setup and Play a sound with each alert in the indicator's settings switch them. Setups already on the chart when it loads don't alert.

What it draws

  • Arrows under each buy and over each sell.
  • Entry, stop and target boxes and the lines from your rules, as in TradingView.
  • A box in the top right corner with your indicator's name, how many setups it found and the last setup.

Marks are decided when each candle closes, so they never move afterwards.

Update it

Copy it again from Add it to cTrader. In Algo, open your indicator, select everything in the code window, paste over it and click Build. Charts that have it restart with the new version, and its settings stay.

Does it match?

Choose It's on my chart, then find the setups Wildflower lists on your cTrader chart. If the times differ by whole hours, cTrader's time zone (at the bottom of its window) differs from the one your chart here uses. The marks stay on the same candles.

What happened? The choices when it didn't work in cTrader

A bit of cTrader's example code may have been left behind. Open your indicator in Algo, select everything in the code window, delete it, paste again and click Build.

It is not in the Custom list

Build it first: open it in Algo and click Build. Only indicators that have built are listed under Custom.
