See a backtest on a prop account

Run a result's trades through your prop firm's rules: evaluations passed and failed, funded accounts, and the payouts you would have taken.

Updated 12 October 2026 · 3 minute read

If you trade a prop firm account, you can see how one of your backtest results would have gone on it. Open a result and choose See it on a prop account, under More numbers. It's optional: nothing on the result changes if you don't use it.

Enter your firm's rules

Every box starts empty. Type your firm's rules as they are for your account:

  • Evaluation: profit target, maximum loss and how it moves, daily loss limit and what reaching it does, consistency, minimum trading days, and the evaluation fee.
  • Payouts: the most of your profit one payout can take, the largest and smallest payout, your buffer (profit kept in after a payout), trading days between payouts, payout consistency, and your profit split.

Leave empty any rule your firm doesn't have. The profit target, the maximum loss and how it moves are needed.

Copy from one of my accounts fills the boxes from the plan you entered on one of your accounts, exactly as you entered it there. It fills only what that plan holds and names the rest. Firms change their rules, so check them before you rely on the result. Your rules stay on this device.

What you see

Choose Work it out. Your trades start in an evaluation. When one passes, a funded account starts on the next trading day and takes payouts as your rules allow. When an account is lost, a new evaluation starts. You see:

  • evaluations started, passed and failed, and what ended each failed one;
  • funded accounts lost, payouts taken, and their total, with your share after the split and the evaluation fees;
  • where things stood when your dates ended;
  • a timeline, day by day.

If your dates end before your first evaluation finishes, it says it's too short to tell. Test longer dates to see more.

How it's worked out

Each trade counts exactly as your backtest booked it, after fees, with the same number of contracts. Your firm's contract limits aren't applied. Days are trading days, 5pm to 5pm Chicago time, and only days with trades count. Each open trade's lowest point is checked against your limits as well as each close, and a trade that reaches a limit closes exactly at it. Results saved before this feature only have closed trades; testing again adds the lowest points.

It's your own result under your own rules. It doesn't say what to trade or which firm to use.

What's next

  • Change your rules to see the same trades under different rules, such as another account size.
  • Back on the result, Go through the trades or test the strategy on other dates.
